Convert warm trust into first customers
Your first customers, without ads or a bought list.
Outreach only works once the market knows you. As a B2B demand generation agency we instrument who engaged, target right-fit accounts, and run personalized, founder-led sequences across email, LinkedIn, and X, built to win design partners, not to blast a list.
01 · Content marketing
Why the content has to come first.
Outreach converts demand that already exists. We find the people who engaged with your content, check they're a fit, and open with a line about what they actually read. That context is why the replies come back thoughtful, and the meetings are easier to book.
None of that works if there was nothing to read in the first place. That is the job of content marketing for a tech company with no brand yet: attract the right accounts, explain how the problem works, and earn the trust outreach builds on. AI SEO and the founder's LinkedIn are how it reaches them.
02 · Process
How we do it
Four steps, in this order. The order is the method.
Instrument the audience first.
Who subscribed, read, watched, engaged — the input, not the report.
Filter on fit, then on signal.
Right company, right role, right moment, plus evidence they've paid attention.
Write the first message from what they read.
Founder's voice, one specific reference, across email, LinkedIn, X, Reddit, etc.
Feed replies back into the content.
What earns a response decides what gets published next.
03 · How We Help
What this looks like in practice
What a B2B demand generation agency does before it sends anything
We capture intent signals, who subscribed, read, watched, and engaged, and turn those signals into a targeted list of the right people at right-fit accounts.
Not what a B2B lead generation agency would send
Multi-channel outreach across email, LinkedIn, and X in the founder's voice, referencing what each person actually engaged with, because early customers buy the founder's conviction first.
Deliverability engineering, the part nobody advertises
The unglamorous engineering that makes it work: domain health, warm-up, sending limits, plus tracking replies and booked calls and feeding wins back into the content.

An SDR works a list. This builds the reason the list replies. A good SDR with no audience behind them is making cold calls with better software, and the reply rate reflects it. The work here is the content that got you known, the signals showing who is paying attention, and a first message that names what that person actually read. If you already have a warm audience and a steady flow of it, an SDR is probably cheaper and we will tell you that.
When nobody in your market has heard of you, which is more often than agencies admit. Outreach into a cold market converts badly enough to damage your sending domain on the way, and the damage outlasts the campaign. The order matters more here than anywhere else: get found, get known, get followed, then reach out. If you arrive with no audience, the first months are content and founder social. An agency that skips that part is selling you activity.
Sequences sent into a market that has never heard of you work badly enough to damage your sending domain on the way. A first message to someone who has already read something you wrote, naming that specific thing, still works. Same channel, different act. What changed over the last few years is not that email stopped working, it is that volume stopped working, because filters and buyers both got better at recognizing it. That is why the content comes first.
No, and we will not run sequences into a bought list you already have. A purchased list has no relationship behind it, so complaint rates are high, deliverability falls immediately, and the damage carries over to the people you did have a reason to email. It also produces the reply tone that makes founders hate outbound. Better Marketing builds the list from two filters: fit, meaning the company and role your product is relevant to now, and signal, meaning that person engaged with something you published.
Better Marketing does not quote a number before seeing your audience, and a firm number from anyone who has not seen it is a sales tactic. The volume is set by how many right-fit people already know who you are, which is measurable in week one and impossible to invent. What we commit to is the input: the list, the sequences, the sending health and the reply handling, reported weekly. If the audience is too small to produce meetings, the honest answer is to fix that first.
In practice
Not if the unglamorous part is done first, and usually it is not. Better Marketing sends from a separate domain so your main one is never at risk, configures SPF, DKIM and DMARC correctly, warms volume up over weeks rather than switching it on, and raises sending limits gradually. Most agencies treat this as an afterthought and find out when replies stop arriving. It is the least interesting part of outreach and it decides whether any of the rest arrives.
From a separate sending domain registered for the purpose, never your primary one. The reason is containment. If a sequence draws complaints, the damage lands on a domain you can retire rather than on the address your invoices and support email come from. The separate domain is warmed independently and the primary stays untouched. Ask any outbound agency this directly, because sending from a client's main domain is common and the cost of it only shows up months later.
Business-to-business cold email is generally lawful in the United States under CAN-SPAM, provided the message identifies the sender, carries a real postal address and honors opt-outs promptly. The European Union and the United Kingdom are stricter and the analysis usually turns on legitimate interest. Canada is stricter again. Better Marketing is not a law firm and this is not legal advice. We keep the sending compliant on the mechanics and route the jurisdiction question to your counsel before a sequence goes out.
Month one is instrumentation: who counts as a right-fit account, what signals we can capture, and the sending infrastructure built and warmed. Month two is a small volume of highly specific outreach in the founder's voice, so we learn which arguments earn replies. Month three scales what worked and cuts what did not. Nothing goes out at volume in month one, because sending before the domain is warm costs more than the meetings are worth. Expect reply data in month two and a defensible view of what the channel is worth by the end of month three.
The founder on the calls that get booked, and product knowledge when a reply needs it. Better Marketing handles list building, enrichment, sequence writing, sending infrastructure and first-response triage. We will not pretend to run a technical discovery call, because a founder who takes that call converts better than a rep who was briefed on it. Expect a few hours a week once sending starts, mostly conversations rather than admin. What we need before that is access to whatever tells us who has been reading, and a straight answer on which companies you would genuinely want as design partners.
